FLOW project

Summary

The FLOW project delivers user-centric, interoperable solutions designed to unlock the full potential of V2X. By facilitating energy exchange between buildings, vehicles, and the grid, FLOW aims to significantly improve energy efficiency. It also enhances the interoperability of charging infrastructure, making it easier for EVs to connect and communicate across different systems. Finally, FLOW focuses on maximizing the value of EV flexibility across the entire EV value chain, contributing to both grid decarbonization and the reduction of stress on energy networks. There are 5 pilots within this project: Menorca - Spain Copenhagen - Denmark Prague - Czech Republic Rome - Italy Dublin - Ireland

Tech: The FLOW project enhances and demonstrates smart EV charging and V2X integration within energy systems through a set of versatile solutions addressing the needs of all involved stakeholders. These solutions include user-centric products, concepts, configurations, and mechanisms designed for optimal operation. Standardization and harmonization across sectors facilitate the activities of stakeholders and EV users. Interoperable solutions improve planning and operation for smooth EV charging integration, identifying optimal scenarios using multi-criteria models and tailored business models. FLOW also enables multi-actor orchestration to ensure data exchange and synchronization for VGI and EV flexibility services. FLOW covers a variety of applications, including V1G/V2B/V2H/V2G, and environments such as public, private, urban, rural, and touristic settings, across different vehicle types (cars, small/medium commercial).
