An innovative experiment in Hauts-de-France combines electric mobility and collective self-consumption. The Groupee 4.0 project is led by the social landlord Partenord Habitat, the École des Arts et Métiers, Enedis and EDF, and financed by ADEME and the Hauts-de-France Region. In addition to self-consumption photovoltaic production, the project provided tenants with a car-sharing service with an electric vehicle and a two-way charging station allowing the vehicle's battery to store energy depending on photvoltaics production and return it according to the needs of the building and participating accommodation. The choice to integrate a car-sharing service equipped with “vehicle-to-grid” technology comes from the different scenarios tested by the EPMLAB platform of Arts et Métiers de Lille. This made it possible to carry out dynamic modeling of a digital twin to test numerous scenarios integrating new uses into the demonstrator. The chosen scenario aimed to optimize collective self-consumption, reduce household electricity costs and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Launched at the end of 2020, the project first implemented collective self-consumption to cover the needs of the common areas of residential buildings, with a 16 kWp photovoltaic installation. The car-sharing service was offered to residents at moderate pricing conditions from 2021. Bidirectional charging (vehicle-to-grid or V2G) was activated in October 2022, then 6 households joined the operation in January 2023 .
